Who can you trust?

This is interesting, but unverified .

Please read the following and then make your own decision as to whether you'll continue to use Snopes or not.
(just the truth and the whole truth please and not slanted from a liberal agenda!)

Who watches the watchers?
Guess we have to use "Truth or Fiction" now.

For the past few years www.snopes.com has positioned itself, or others
have labeled it, as the 'tell-all final word' on any comment, claim and
email. But for several years people tried to find out who exactly was
behind snopes.com .

Only recently did Wikipedia get to the bottom of it - kinda makes you
wonder what they were hiding. Well, finally we know. It is run by a
husband and wife team - that's right, no big office of
investigators and researchers, no team of lawyers. It's just
a mom-and-pop operation that began as a hobby. David and Barbara
Mikkelson in the San Fernando Valley of California started the website
about 13 years ago - and they have no formal background or experience
in investigative research. After a few years it gained popularity
believing it to be unbiased and neutral, but over the past couple
of years people started asking questions who was behind it and did they
have a selfish motivation?

The reason for the questions - or skepticisms - is a result of
snopes.com claiming to have the bottom line facts to certain
questions or issue when in fact they have been proven wrong.
Also, there were criticisms the Mikkelsons were not
really investigating and getting to the 'true' bottom of various issues.

A few months ago, when my State Farm agent Bud Gregg in Mandeville
hoisted a political sign referencing Barack Obama and made a big splash
across the internet, 'supposedly' the Mikkelson's claim to
have researched this issue before posting their findings
on snopes.com . In their statement they claimed the corporate office of
State Farm pressured Gregg into taking down the sign, when in fact
nothing of the sort 'ever' took place. I personally contacted David
Mikkelson (and he replied back to me) thinking he would want to get to
the bottom of this
and I gave him Bud Gregg's contact phone numbers – and Bud was going to
give him phone numbers to the big
exec's at State Farm in Illinois who would have been willing to speak
with him about it. He never called Bud. In fact, I learned from Bud
Gregg no one from snopes.com ever contacted anyone with State Farm.
Yet, snopes.com issued a statement as the 'final factual word' on the
issue as if they did all their homework and got to the bottom of things
- not!

Then it has been learned the Mikkelson's are very Democratic (party)
and extremely liberal. As we all now
know from this presidential election, liberals have a purpose agenda to
discredit anything that appears to be
conservative.. There has been much criticism lately over the internet
with people pointing out the Mikkelson's
liberalism revealing itself in their website findings. Gee, what a
shock?

So, I say this now to everyone who goes to snopes.com to get what they
think to be the bottom line
facts...'proceed with caution.' Take what it says at face value and
nothing more. Use it only to lead you to
their references where you can link to and read the sources for
yourself. Plus, you can always Google a subject and do the research
yourself. It now seems apparent that's all the Mikkelson's do. After
all, I can personally vouch
from my own experience for their 'not' fully looking into things.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snopes.com

I have found this to be true also! Many videos of Obama I tried to
verify on Snopes and they said they were False.... Then they gave their
Liberal slant....!!! I have suspected some problems with snopes for
some time now, but I have only caught them in half-truths. If there is any
subjectivity they do an immediate full left rudder. Truth
or www.truthorfiction.com a better source for verification, in my
opinion.

I have recently discovered that Snopes.com is owned by a flaming
liberal and this man is in the tank for Obama. There are many things
they have listed on their site as a hoax and yet you can go to Youtube
yourself and find the video of Obama actually saying these things. So
you see, you cannot and should not trust Snopes.com....ever for
anything that remotely resembles truth! I don't even trust them
to tell me if email chains are hoaxes anymore.

A few conservative speakers on Myspace told me about snopes.com
Well, I found out for myself that it is true. Anyway just FYI
please don't use Snopes.com anymore for fact checking and make your
friends aware of their political leanings as well. Many people still
think Snopes.com is neutral and they can be trusted as factual. We need
to make sure everyone is aware that that is a hoax in itself.

Stealth bag

http://www.stealthbag.com/SOF-Article.htm
excerpt
The StealthBag was tested on a variety of commercial and
military-grade infrared detection equipment. The highly regarded
FLIR, Inc. Model 2000AB chopper-mounted IR detector (oper-
ating in the 8-14 micron wavelength range), was unable during
a 30-minute test to locate three individuals inside StealthBags.
When the original LAND/Shark was introduced, SOF ran tests
with a Life-Finder hand-held IR detector, with similar results.
Weighing less than a G.I. poncho, the StealthBag comes
vacuum-packed for long-term storage in a mylar bag, in a 600
-denier nylon carrying pouch. After a knife, this is now the first
item that gets put in our go pack, for certain protection against
whatever elements one may encounter on land, sea or air.

Eskimos Prove An All Meat Diet
Provides Excellent Health
News You Can Use

This web site will prove that eating red meat and natural animal fats while restricting carbohydrates is not only healthy but will prevent and cure many diseases.

Adventures in Diet Part 1
By Vilhjalmur Stefansson
Harper's Monthly Magazine, November 1935.
(start excerpt)
In 1906 I went to the Arctic with the food tastes and beliefs of the average American. By 1918, after eleven years as an Eskimo among Eskimos, I had learned things which caused me to shed most of those beliefs. Ten years later I began to realize that what I had learned was going to influence materially the sciences of medicine and dietetics. However, what finally impressed the scientists and converted many during the last two or three years, was a series of confirmatory experiments upon myself and a colleague performed at Bellevue Hospital, New York City, under the supervision of a committee representing several universities and other organizations.
Not so long ago the following dietetic beliefs were common: To be healthy you need a varied diet, composed of elements from both the animal and vegetable kingdoms. You got tired of and eventually felt a revulsion against things if you had to eat them often. This latter belief was supported by stories of people who through force of circumstances had been compelled, for instance, to live for two weeks on sardines and crackers and who, according to the stories, had sworn that so long as they lived they never would touch sardines again. The Southerners had it that nobody can eat a quail a day for thirty days.

Olive oil

I read that olive oil has been used in cooking, as medicine,
to soothe ear aches, in lamps, and in guns.
Before petroleum oil was available circa 1859 people used
olive oil to lubricate and clean guns. It left the bore of
muzzleloaders smooth as glass and easy to load and clean.
Some gun oils have a strong odour which many recognize.
It might be just was well if your piece smells like olive oil.
I have not yet used olive oil in my guns, but I will use it on
one to see how it does. If you have used it on guns
please tell us the result good or bad.

Cayenne - one of God's wonderful creations

http://proliberty.com/observer/19991007.htm
From the October 1999 Idaho Observer:

Cayenne: A stimulant Herb by Dr. John Christopher

Cayenne is one of God's wonderful herbal creations that never ceases to amaze! Lecturing recently, we heard the following story:

One told how he had cut deeply with a sharp instrument the inside of his hand, fingers and palm. The blood spurted out in streams. He poured a large amount of cayenne pepper into the wound, and within seconds the blood flow slowed down to congealed dripping and the bleeding stopped entirely before many seconds had passed.

With a goodly amount of cayenne covering the wound, he then wrapped it. He was so excited about the rapid results he could hardly wait for the regular herb meeting. But, as he said, the "punch line" was lost, because instead of a nasty ragged scar to show how severely he had been hurt, the area was healed and there was no scar.

Many of the old herbalists claim that in cases of severe cuts, gunshot wounds, etc., cayenne can be taken internally as a tea and the bleeding will stop by the time, in most cases, you can count to ten.

Cayenne goes immediately into the bloodstream and adjusts the blood pressure from the top of the head, to the bottom of the feet, equalizing pressure over the whole body. This takes the high pressure, which causes rapid bleeding, away from the wound and clotting starts immediately.

Cayenne has been accepted by some of the orthodox medical profession, as mentioned in Merck Index, Maleria Medica and Pharmocology and other standard volumes.

Let's go into more detail. In the first place cayenne is classified as a "stimulant." Stimulants are herbal agents that quicken, excite and increase nervous sensibility, thereby stimulating the functional activity and energy of the body. These herbs (stimulants) are naturalsanative substances (Remember that alcohol is not a stimulant, but an irritant and a depressant). Stimulants increase the power of the pulse and carry the blood to all parts of the body, tending to equalize and restore the balance of circulation in all parts.

Cayenne has been used for ages to aid stomach ulcer cases. We have seen some of the extremely painful cases given relief, and then healed by using cayenne faithfully each day over a period of weeks or months. It should be used until pains are gone and permanent relief is assured.

A story flashes back to my mind of an interesting case of stomach ulcers. A lady had been attending our herbal lecture series for some time. One day she told us about her husband's severe case of stomach ulcers. The recommendation from their doctor was to have part of his stomach removed, but he said he would rather suffer the pain than risk such an operation. He also refused his wife's suggestion to try cayenne, ridiculing her studies.

When he would see me in town, he would bellow, "Hello, Doc! Killed anybody with cayenne, today?" He became so obnoxious, I avoided him when I could. Months went by and one day I saw him coming down the street toward me. I tried to avoid him, but he came, "head on." This time I was amazed, because there was not cutting remarks or sarcasm. In fact, he was very apologetic and asked if he could talk to me for a minute, and then told me this story.

He had come home from work one night, "sick enough to die," with stomach ulcers.

His wife was not home. He was in such pain he wanted to commit suicide. He went to the medicine cabinet to find some kind of medicine poisonous and deadly enough to kill him. But he discovered his wife had thrown out the old bottles of pharmaceutical medicine. All that was left in the medicine cupboard were some herbs and a large container of cayenne pepper. He was so angry that, upon seeing the cayenne, figured it, in a large dose, would kill him by burning him up.

He took a heaping tablespoon of the cayenne in a glass of hot water, gulped it down and rushed into the bedroom. He fell upon the bed and covered his head with a pillow so the neighbors couldn't hear his "dying screams."

The next thing he knew, his wife was shaking him awake the next morning. She told him he had slept all night (instead of being up every half hour for anti-acid tablets). To his amazement he discovered that the pain was gone, for the first time in months. He continued using cayenne three times a day faithfully.

I have had a very interesting life watching thousands of people receive successful results with the use of herbs. Many calls and letters come from people who say their lives have been changed to healthier and more pleasant living through the use of herbs.

Cayenne is one of the finest healing, nutritional herbs known to mankind. It is not a drug, it is a food of the highest value. I personally have used it faithfully for well over thirty years. This is one reason I have the strength and energy to lecture in 40 to 50 cities a year all over the United States and Canada, i.e., one week on the west coast, next week in Canada, and the following week Ohio or New York!

With natural living, the use of cayenne and other herbs, I, at my age, have been fortunate enough to not suffer "jet lag" with all this year 'round traveling.

I praise the Lord for the knowledge of herbology and hope its words will spread rapidly.

The Late Dr. Christopher is revered by physicians and health practitioners of many disciplines all over the world as the father of modern herbology. Though he is no longer with us, the works of this wonderful man still serve to better the lives of ordinary people in teaching them how to take better care of themselves by using the tools God gave us -- our own minds and the plants of the earth.

Last month we focused on other uses of cayenne papper, such as its ability to strengthen the immune system by raising the body temperature, oxygenating the cells, stimulating the removal of toxins and alkalinizing our bodies so that anaerobic bacteria and viruses no longer have a ripe breeding ground. With the recent proliferation of chemtrails throughout the country and the spraying of malathion over New York City, it is more important than ever before to cleanse our bodies of excess toxins, consume more organic fruits, vegetables and whole grains and do all we can to strengthen our immune systems so that our bodies won't store the poisons we are being continually exposed to. One of the easiest ways of incorporating cayenne pepper into your daily regimen is to start out your day with a glass of cayenne lemonade made in the following manner: Take the juice of one whole lemon and mix with 8-12 ounces of distilled or purifies water, 1 teaspoon of 40,000 H.U. cayenne pepper and 1 tablespoon of grade B maple syrup. Consume one half hour before eating breakfast. This is the best way to protect yourself (and treat yourself if you do get sick) during the winter cold and flu season.

Our November and December Back to Basics columns will focus on the importance of fasting, colon cleansing and getting rid of parasites. Dr. Hulda Clark, who was recently arrested for practicing medicine without a license, has helped thousands of people with chronic and degenerative diseases overcome them by cleansing the body of parasites and eliminating common packaged foods and hygiene products which encourage parasite infestation. Also, our November edition will include two important reports on recent vaccination news: The CDC satellite broadcast to the nation's health departments for training purposes on September 16, 1999, entitled "Immunization Update" and the meeting of the U.S. Congress Subcommittee on Criminal Justice, Human Resources and Drug Policy on September 28, 1999, entitled "Compensating Vaccine Injuries: Are Reforms Needed?" Due to space constraints, they were not able to be included in this month's edition of The Idaho Observer and we focused on other important vaccine news instead (See pages 16-17).

A near perfect food to cache

What common food is a near perfect meal in itself,
stores for long periods and does not need to be cooked
or refrigerated?
This site shows the nutrients in sunflower seeds..

Give your kids SFS for snacks on car trips. They will
not be as wildly hyper as those who eat candy. (SFS
will not keep them from asking if we are there yet.)
You can add sunflower seeds to pancake dough. If
you like extra crunchy, use unshelled.

Hornfrog's fish story

I took some young folks down to the Bosque River, west of

Waco, Texas to do some fishing. One of my nephews was in

the group. All the kids had bought fancy and fairly high

priced fishing rods and tackle, etc. I brought the fishing kit

I had in my pocket which just has essentials in it. I did not

bring a rod and reel at all. The kids thought I was not going

to do any fishing because I had not brought a rod and reel.

When we got down to the river and settled on a good spot

they all started casting around. I pulled up a stout weed that

grows in this area, stripped it down to just the main stem and

rigged up a simple and very basic rig. Since the Bosque is

really just a small river and in many places not much more

than a creek, I could get my hook into the middle very easily.

Using a little feathered jig I quickly caught six nice (keeper size)

small mouth bass, two perch and four brim. I had a nice stringer

of fish and all pan size. Nothing big but "good eats." The kids

were amazed at this silly demonstration. They were catching

some fish but could not believe I had matched or out done each

of them with their fancy rigs. My nephew put up his rod and

fished with a rig I made up for him and he laughed every time

he caught something with my "poor boy" outfit.. He told, "Man,

I paid $80.00 for that rod and reel but I can catch the same fish

with this thing!" I took the jig off of mine, caught some small

grasshoppers beside the creek and did just as well with them.

The kids had never realized that fishing could really be done

and very simply with just some line, hooks, split shot sinkers,

etc., which could all be carried in a small container, a 35mm

film canister, in their pockets. That little session made my day!
